Greece: Spirits of the Ancients

Showcasing the amazing times, stories and accomplishments from ancient Greece that have touched many individuals, societies and cultures of our world.  This program combines ancient art interactively placed in its actual historical locations inviting audiences to experience Greece through the eyes of the ancients themselves.

In this program, Greece...Spirits of the Ancients, we return to Ancient Greece via the verbal and visual melding of original literature, modern archaeology, historical locations, and actual ancient artistic representations of stories covered.  Show topics include: The value of chivalry and honor in avenging Paris-Prince of Troy-for his abduction of Helen of Troy, the face that launched a thousand ships; the maturing of man in Homer’s Odyssey; the exploits of the honorable and brave, yet, vulnerable Achilles of the Trojan War; the tragedy befalling the victorious, yet, betrayed King Agamemnon; the adventures of Perseus and the minotaur, the half-bull-half-man creature; the ill-fated flight of Icarus who flew too close to the sun; the dramatic eruption and sinking of an Atlantis paradise and the biblical plagues that followed; a young prince Jason sailing with his Argonaut crew in search of the coveted Golden Fleece; and, the Greek hero of heroes, Hercules, who labored tirelessly to achieve forgiveness and reconciliation with Zeus, his divine father on Mt. Olympus and then persevered onward to found THE OLYMPIC GAMES in which we all participate in today.
