The most inspiring documentary on modern Greece that no one can see again!

Stylianos Kyriakides: Journey of a Warrior (2004) was produced exclusively for and only shown during the USA broadcast of the Athens 2004 Olympic Closing Ceremony.

Unfortunately, this is not an April Fool's joke.

To the best of our knowledge NBC-Universal owns the rights and has told CelebrateGreece.com that they are too difficult to untangle to allow the documentary to be seen again - anywhere!  "Too many third party rights (i.e., newspapers, archival video, narrator, graphics, etc.) to have to clear," we were told by an NBC spokesperson.

Our interpretation to the comment of "too many" was that it was too much of a bother.  However, the producer of the video (George Veras) had told CelebrateGreece.com similar things, but he also said it was a worthwhile program to see the light of day again.

It is a shame that this video that documents the plight of modern Greece and Greeks in the 20th Century can never be seen anywhere ever again.  Nothing that money can't solve.
